Four steps to your own off-grid node.

Meshtastic runs on affordable LoRa boards. Configure the region correctly so you stay within Malaysian regulations — always use the 919–923 MHz ISM band.

Get a LoRa board

Choose a Meshtastic-compatible board such as a Heltec V3 or LILYGO T-Beam. Ensure it ships with an 868/915 MHz antenna suitable for the Asian band.

Flash the firmware

Open the Meshtastic Web Flasher in Chrome, connect over USB and install the latest stable firmware. No coding required.

Set region: MY (919–923 MHz)

In the app, set LoRa region to MY_919. This keeps transmissions inside Malaysia’s licence-free band and legal power limits.

Join the mesh

Share a channel name & key with your community. Every node now relays messages up to several kilometres — extending reach with every device.
